Daniel Ray Jacobson

Daniel Ray Jacobson, affectionately known as Boone, passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 69 at his home in Powell, Wyoming, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on September 13, 1956, in Cut Bank, Montana, to parents Edward “Jim” and Anna Marie “Toots” Jacobson, Boone was the third of four children. He graduated from Cut Bank High School before enlisting in the Army, where he served from 1975 to 1979. After his military service, he returned to Montana and spent many years farming with his parents. He later drove the senior citizen bus in Cut Bank and worked in the oilfields across the Rocky Mountains, eventually settling in Powell, Wyoming, where he continued his oilfield career until retirement.

Boone is survived by his brother Bob Jacobson and sister-in-law Nancy, nieces Keela Lyda and husband Bud, Connie Kinden and husband Scott, Bobbi Sayre and husband Matt, Missy Connavo, and brother-in-law Richard Baney. He also leaves behind special friends Shane Lynn, Dana Kinney, and Sarah and Eddie Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Toots Jacobson, his sister Audrey Baney, his brother Greg Jacobson, his sister-in-law Linda Perkins Jacobson, and his dear girlfriend of 15 years, Jo Lee Schriner.

Those who knew Boone will remember a man shaped by quiet strength, hard work, and deep loyalty to family and friends.
