Surrounded by his family on March 8, 2026, at the age of 66, his long battle with early onset Alzheimer's ended. Dan was born on September 28, 1959, in Whitehall PA, where he lived most of his life.Dan is survived by his wife of nearly 42 years, Maria (Klepeiss) Schedler, his children, Jessica Iachini and Joshua Schedler. He was the very proud grandfather to his three grandchildren, Gianna, Luca and Dominic, who brought him immense joy.Dan was preceded in death by his father, John E. Schedler. He is also survived by his mother, Eileen (Smith) Schedler, his sister, Mary Ellen Schedler Krawiec (Donald), his brother, Robert Schedler (Pam), his brothers-in-law, William Klepeiss (Beth) and Joseph Klepeiss (Debra), and numerous nieces and nephews.As a boy, Dan enjoyed playing baseball and especially loved scouting where he made lifelong friends, Jay Hale, Joe Stangl and Dave Seng. He was a graduate of Whitehall High School. He was employed at Saputa Cheese in Whitehall as a freight department forklift driver for 21 years and at AmeriSource Bergen Pharmaceutical Distribution in Bethlehem, PA, for 12 years.Dan will be remembered for his great love of family, friends, NASCAR, outdoors, and scrapping metal. He was such a hard worker and was always looking for ways to provide for his family. He was always willing to help family, neighbors and friends with yard work, lawn cutting and snow removal. His love of watching NASCAR gave him great enjoyment and time spent with his family and friends filled his life with joy. His sense of humor and laugh would always bring a smile to everyone's face.The family would like to thank the staff at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation for their compassionate care of Danny as they fondly called him over the past six years. You will forever be in our hearts and a part of our extended family.All are welcome to attend the public viewing Friday, March 13th, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in the vestibule of St. Peter Catholic Church in Coplay, PA, 4 S. Fifth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. A burial will follow in St. Peter Church Cemetery. Afterwards, all are welcome to return to church for a time of nourishment and fellowship.Contributions in Dan's memory can be made to Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, 350 S.
