Daniel James Gorham

Daniel James Gorham, known affectionately as Danny, was born on August 29, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts, to William F. Gorham and Mary Colbert Gorham. He passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by his family at Brooke Haven Healthcare in Thayer, Missouri.

A devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Danny was a man of deep Catholic faith. He served his country for five years in the United States Air Force before beginning a long and dedicated career with the United States Post Office, where he worked for thirty years. He later continued his public service with the Florida Department of Probation for fifteen years.

Danny is survived by his youngest son, Alan Edward Gorham and his wife Vanessa; ten grandchildren, Daniel Gorham and his wife Ashley, Alan Gorham Jr. and his wife Natalie, Breanna Golden and her husband Jacob, Nicholas Gorham, Hailey Gorham, Samantha Gorham, Katherine Gorham, Cathy Tompkins, Nicki Tompkins, and Emily Tompkins; and six great-grandchildren, Sage Gorham, Emery Golden, Hudson Golden, Carson Gorham, Patrick Clay, and Abigail Cunniffe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his oldest son, Chris Gorham; three sisters, Margaret Gibson, Mary Keely, and Dorothy Curry; and one brother, William F. “Gus” Gorham.
