Daniel J. Gmyr

Daniel J. “Dan” Gmyr, 79, of Kirkville, passed away early Friday morning, March 13, 2026. Born in Syracuse on January 20, 1947, he was the son of the late Walter and Lucille Gmyr. Dan graduated from East Syracuse High School in 1964 and attended Erie Community College. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a munitions specialist.

For more than thirty years, Dan worked as a truck driver for P&C Foods, where he was recognized for safely driving over one million miles. A lifelong Corvette enthusiast, he took great joy in restoring classic Vettes. Some of his happiest times were spent at camp, boating with family and friends along the St. Lawrence River.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Connie; his children, Sarah Gmyr and Hollis (Christi) Gmyr; his stepchildren, Jenifer Mulcahy and Jeffrey Mulcahy; eight grandchildren; and his brothers, Jerry and Terry (Judy) Gmyr.
