Daniel Garcia, 75, of Los Lunas, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at his home on March 15, 2026. Born in Encino, NM, on July 26, 1950, to Blas and Ursula Garcia, Daniel lived a life defined by jokes, laughter, and family.
Daniel spent most of his career as an independent truck driver, and had a deep love for classic cars, antiques, and collecting just about anything and everything. No one was a stranger to Daniel, his sense of humor was unmatched, and he was undoubtedly the life of the party.
Above all, his greatest joy was his family; he took immense pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Blas and Ursula Garcia; his brothers Luis Garcia, Cristobal Garcia, Blas Garcia Jr., Ambrosio Garcia, Luciano Garcia, Ernesto Garcia, and Jerry Garcia; his sisters Stella Trujillo, Magdalena Sandoval, and Juanita Rivera; and his beloved grandson, Julian Garcia.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Garcia; his 3 children, Ramoncita Garcia, Daniel (Amy) Garcia II, and Anastacia Garcia (Lee Toni). He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Andrew (Desirie) Gutierrez, Bryanna Pena (Stephen Cervantes), Kassarah Garcia, and Gabryella Garcia; and his 7 great-grandchildren: Nathan Gutierrez, Vicente Gutierrez, Juliette Cano, Cruz Cano, Owen Gutierrez, Roman Cervantes, and Ariellie Garza.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 10-11AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Encino, NM.
The recitation of the Most Holy Rosary, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, will begin at 11 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Encino, NM, with Rev. Sotero Sena celebrating the Mass.
Daniel will be laid to rest in Encino, returning to the home where his journey began. Pallbearers will be Andrew Gutierrez, Bryanna Pena, Kassarah Garcia, Gabryella Garcia, Nathan Gutierrez, Lee Toni, and Andrew Gonzalez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Vicente Gutierrez, Juliette Cano, Cruz Cano, Owen Gutierrez, Roman Cervantes, and Ariellie Garza.
