February 13, 1943— March 9, 2026
Tampa, FL
Daniel Galeoto, born on February 13, 1943, in New York City, passed away on March 9, 2026. A man of remarkable resilience and charisma, he lived a life defined by unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his friends. His captivating personality and gift for storytelling made him a favorite among family, friends, and neighbors alike. In his final weeks, he continued to entertain the nurses and doctors with his warmth, humor, and stories. Known for his generous spirit and his love of fixing things, he was affectionately called “The Mayor” by his neighbors, who knew they could always count on his help.
Daniel served his country as a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force, stationed at RAF High Wycombe in the United Kingdom, where he was offered the position of Crew Chief on the KC-135 air refueling plane. After his military service, he built a successful career in sales, first founding Cattleman’s Choice, a premium meat delivery business specializing in Colorado steaks, and later working in advertising sales. Yet his proudest accomplishment remained his family. For 61 years he shared a deep and abiding love with his wife, Naomi, devoting his later years to her care as she battled dementia.
He found joy in gardening and possessed an extraordinary talent for repairing anything that broke. His well-equipped garage stood as a testament to his readiness to help anyone in need. Daniel lived with quiet faith, often expressing gratitude for the blessings God had given him and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Galeoto; his children, Laureen Jaffe, Deborah Burkett, David Galeoto, and Caroline Allen; his three sons-in-law; his seven grandchildren, including two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marianna Galeoto. Those who knew him will forever cherish the memory of his strength, generosity, and enduring spirit.
