Daniel F. Lang, age 81, of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Pitman Manor, Pitman. Born in Audubon to the late William and Maryann Lang, he was raised in Paulsboro, where he graduated from Paulsboro High School. He served his country as a veteran with the Seabees in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Upon his return, he worked as a Paulsboro policeman for seven years before taking a position at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. He later retired after 19 years as a custodian for Kingsway Regional High School. Daniel found enjoyment in occasional trips to Harrah’s Casino.
He is survived by his children, Christian and Maryann Lang of West Deptford and Dianne Buenzle of Paulsboro; his grandchildren, Whitney, Jessa, and Ross Buenzle Jr., and Julia Lang; his great-grandchildren, Emma, Nola, and Jessalynn; and his brothers, David Lang of Pitman, Donald Lang of Indiana, and Gary Lang of Michigan. He was predeceased by his companion of 30 years, Judy Wicks, and his sisters, Sandy Burkhalter and Patricia Fowler.
Daniel will be remembered as a dedicated public servant, a proud veteran, and a loving family man who quietly touched the lives of those around him through his steady presence and commitment to his community and loved ones.
