March 19, 1961— March 9, 2026
Tampa, FL
Daniel Alexander Morgan, 64, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Tampa, Florida, surrounded by his three loving daughters. Born on March 19, 1961, in Arkansas to Guy and Linda Morgan, Dan was a hard-working and devoted father who cherished time with his family. An avid fisherman, he was known for his constant refrain that he would “rather be fishing,” and he was always in search of the perfect spot to catch bass.
Dan was preceded in death by his partner and best friend, Cynthia Porter; his mother, Linda Morgan; and his former father-in-law, Norm Ferko. He is survived by his father, Guy; his sister, Vaun Federoff (Jeff); his brother, Mitchell; his former mother-in-law, Carol Ferko; his daughters, Amanda Isaacs (Chris), Brandi Hutchins (Daniel), and Melissa Mattingly (Jason); and his grandchildren, Harper, Jameson, Haylee, Sebby, Mikey, Miles, Hunter, and Mila.
True to his wishes, Dan’s family will celebrate his life and his love of fishing by scattering his ashes in one of his favorite fishing spots rather than holding a formal memorial service. In honor of Dan and his favorite fishing buddy, Norm, the family asks that contributions be made in his name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
