Daniel A. McMahon, 90, of Syracuse, was reunited with his beloved wife, Mary Kenney McMahon, in heaven on March 13, 2026. Dan was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend, and colleague. He is survived by his children, Daniel G. McMahon, Elizabeth (Mark) McMahon Walton, and Carmen McMahon; his grandchildren, Victoria Frey, Malik Malone, Carmen, Miguel and Ysabella Monic, Spencer, Eavan, and Delaney Walton, Brennan and Alannah McMahon, and Kevin Krause; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Margaret Fredenberg, Edward (Frances) McMahon, and Dorothea (Thomas) Harblin, as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and godchildren. Dan was predeceased by his wife and his brother, Gerald V. McMahon.

Born on January 10, 1936, to the late Gerald and Mary Downes McMahon in Syracuse, New York, Dan was a devoted lifelong parishioner of the Church of St. Michael and St. Peter. He graduated from LeMoyne College and Syracuse Law School, served in the United States Air Force, and co-established the successful law firm of Davoli, McMahon, & Kublick, PC.

Family was the center of Dan’s life. He cherished summers on Lake Opinicon in Ontario, Canada, with his wife, children, and siblings, where he enjoyed fishing, biking, boating, and spending time with friends and relatives. A strong kayaker, he continued paddling until the summer before his death.
