Dana Vyreida Long Rice, age 80, of Lenoir City, passed away on March 13, 2026, at her home. A longtime member of Central United Methodist Church, Dana faithfully participated in Bible Study Fellowship International for many years. She began her career as a legal secretary before retiring from the Oak Ridge Y-12 and X-10 Plants. She was known for her remarkable skill as a quilter and seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lewis Long and Oneida Jones Long; her stepson, Wade Rice; grandson Philip; great-grandson Croix; and brothers George, Ray, Glen, and Leonard.
Dana is survived by her husband of 32 years, Arthur Rice; sons Matthew Lynn Lassater and Mark Edward Lassater; stepdaughters Leslie Costen and Terri Ramsay; grandchildren Lexi, Victoria, Zachary, Gwythian, Tory, Erin, Paul, Mark, and Laura; great-grandchildren Kayla, Alex, Luke, Philip, Lucia, Lea, Arian, Beckett, Basil, Ezekial, and Lennon; great-great-granddaughter Gia; sisters Phyllis, Pat, Josephine, and Brenda; brother Lavader; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life was held at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City, with private graveside services in the Long Cemetery in Clinton, Tennessee.
