Dana R. Johnson

Dana R. Johnson, age 70, of Bulls Gap, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Ballad Health Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Dana cherished her family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of love and quiet strength.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dempsey and Grace Manis Cutshall, her sisters Patsy Carter, Barbara Jones, and Martha Carter, and her brothers Leonard Cutshall, Gary, John, and Billy Carter.

Dana is survived by her husband, Junior Johnson; her sons, Jeremiah (Chassity) Johnson of Mohawk, Lee (Ashley) Tackett, and Adam Tackett, all of Bulls Gap; her grandchildren, Nash, Dylan, Kristen, Jonathan, Jesse, Shianna, McKenzie, Sierra, and Maddie; her great-grandchildren, Hadley and Ian; her sisters, Vivian Politt of Maryland, Elaine (Gary) Parker of Sneedville, and Judy Williams of Rogersville; and many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
