Dana F. Tellijohn

Dana F. Tellijohn

Eureka Township, WI

Dana F. Tellijohn was known to her family, friends, and caregivers for her distinctive sense of humor, feisty spirit, and occasional sharp tongue—qualities that remained with her until the very end. She passed away on March 10, 2026, just four days before her 79th birthday.

Born and raised in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Dana graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1965 and earned a degree in home economics from the University of Minnesota in 1969. Soon after, she met Thomas Tellijohn, and the couple married in 1970. Following a short time in Austin, Minnesota, they settled in Le Sueur, where in 1973 they took over the family business, Tellijohn Landfill Services, and built it and other companies together over the decades. In 2014, they moved to Eureka Township just north of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.

For the last 19 years of her life, Dana faced Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, and other health challenges with remarkable courage. She received devoted care from the staff at Willow Ridge Nursing Home and Adoray Home Health and Hospice in her final years.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, Tom; sons Andrew (Sarah) and Tony (Molly); grandchildren Mari, Ty, Nora, and Isaac; sister Betsy Larson; stepsiblings Kathryn Nordby (Alan), Susan Marthaler, Greg, Gary (Alicia), and Leisa (Tom Hoover) Marthaler; and in-laws Judy (Dave) Peterson, Jan LaSell, Jackie Tellijohn, Tim (Lori) Tellijohn, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Anne Marthaler and Richard French, stepfather John Marthaler, in-laws Keith and Ruth (Snow) Tellijohn, brothers-in-law Reuben Larson, Richard LaSell, and Baby Boy Tellijohn, and sisters-in-law Jo Anne Jenson and Jenifer Tellijohn.
