He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Cook and Wilma Pond; his brother David Cook; and his close friend Lisa Green. He is survived by: his daughter Alisha Morris; his granddaughter Tara Roe; his son Dana Cook Jr.; his granddaughters, Leila Cook and Reagan Cook; his daughter Stacy Green; his grandsons, Dylen Green and Deven Green; his siblings, Dan Cook (Dorothy Cook), Doug Cook, Dean Cook, Mike Roberts, Rex (Mindy Roberts), Kelly Roberts, Jacqueline Phippen, Kris Phippen, Julie Miller and Corey Miller; his adoptive daughter Joann Giesler; Alexis and Kayla. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge 130 (130 S 6th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501).
