Dan Jayroe ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by A Natural State Funeral Service & Crematory on Mar. 5, 2026.Dan Norman Jayroe, 67, of North Little Rock, AR, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Born on November 29, 1958, in North Little Rock, Dan lived a life dedicated to his loved ones, his work, and the simple joys that brought him peace and happiness. In November of 1988, Dan married his wife, Donna (née Shetler). Shortly after losing their first child, Destiny, during pregnancy, they were doubly blessed with a son, Dustin, in 1991, and a daughter, Danielle, in 1994. Dan took tremendous pride in being a father, and he was actively involved in every part of his children's young lives, coaching their baseball, softball, basketball, and soccer teams.Outside of his family, Dan found purpose and fulfillment in his three decades with Mexico Chiquito, where he ultimately served as regional supervisor. His time there blended two of his greatest loves: working in the kitchen and making people smile. Dan was known for his work ethic, his dedication to the restaurant's legacy, and the warmth he extended to colleagues and customers alike.During his best days, Dan also cherished quiet moments spent outdoors, whether by fishing or tending to his garden.Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Charles Jayroe and Opal Ava Jean Jayroe (née Johnson). He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna; his children, Dustin (wife, Mallory) and Danielle (husband, Drew Stringfellow); and his two grandchildren, Ledger and Ivey. He is also survived by his siblings, Nancy (Barry) Henderson, Linda (Rob) West, and Don Jayroe, along with numerous other loving family members and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved pets, Billie (dog) and Cinderella (cat).A celebration of Dan's life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Levy Church of Christ in North Little Rock, AR (5124 Camp Robinson Rd.).Flower arrangements may be sent to Levy Church of Christ in advance of the service.
