Dalton Lee Godfrey Elizabeth City - Dalton Lee Godfrey, age 70, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Born in Elizabeth City, NC, on October 22, 1955, to the late Clyde Godfrey and Annette Bray Cuthrell, he was the husband of K. Darlene Prichard Godfrey. Dalton was a dedicated salvage and tow operator, known for his passion and pride in being a "tow man." His work was more than just a job; it was a calling where he found joy in helping others in their times of need. Those who knew Dalton admired his unwavering dedication and his remarkable capacity for kindness. He consistently demonstrated his love for his community and was always ready to lend a helping hand. A man of faith, Dalton attended Forest Park Church, where he found spiritual nourishment and fellowship. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and reunited with his Heavenly Father. His memory will be forever cherished by his devoted wife who stood by his side through life's journey. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughter, Kimberly Godfrey, and her husband, Howard Bundy, Jr., as well as his adored grandchild, Hunter Bundy. Dalton is also survived by his sister, Vertley White, and her husband, Harold, along with countless friends who were touched by his generosity and warmth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving parents, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Kyleigh Bundy. The family will hold a celebration of life at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Forest Park Church, 300 Forest Park Rd, Elizabeth City, NC 27909..
