Dale William McCray

Dale William McCray, 59, of Greenville, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born on October 12, 1966, to the late Bobby Wayne McCray Sr. and Evangeline Rosette Campbell McCray, Dale lived a life centered on the people and activities he cherished most.

For twelve years, Dale worked for B&S Contracting. He found great joy in camping, riding his motorcycle, and spending time on the farm working with tractors alongside his son Dillon. He also loved jeeping and pushing snow during the winter months. Above all, he deeply treasured the time spent with his wife, Shirley, never missing an opportunity to take a long ride together on a beautiful day. He was a devoted grandfather who loved his grandchildren dearly and took special pride in being called PaPa.

Dale is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Wallace McCray; his sons, Dillon Michael McCray (Jardai) and Chandler Allen Wallace; his daughters, Brittany Leslie (Koda), Brittanny Alviar (Francis Hugley), and Amanda Rhyan Wallace; and his grandson, Hunter Michael. He is also survived by his brothers, Bobby Wayne McCray Jr., Mark Anthony McCray (Brandy), and Ricky Lee McCray (Carrie), and his sister, Susan Elaine McCray.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
