Dale L. Garrison

1937 — 2026

Mansfield, OH

Dale L. Garrison, age 88 of Mansfield, passed away on March 11, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 7, 1937, in Mansfield to the late Raymond and Alice (Mattison) Garrison, he married his beloved wife, Rosie “Susie” (Ewing), on May 31, 1991.

Dale worked for General Motors for more than 34 years. After retiring, he devoted his time to Community Baptist Bible Church, where he handled maintenance and drove the church bus on monthly trips. In recent years, he and Susie attended Mission Point Church together for 18 years.

He had a remarkable talent for taking things apart and rebuilding them in inventive ways, most famously turning a snowmobile into a four-wheeler. Dale possessed a good sense of humor and loved telling jokes. Above all, he was always quick to help his children whenever they needed him. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susie Garrison; his children, Christine Rosbourgh, Dale Garrison, and David Garrison; his brother, Roger (Shirlene) Garrison; his niece, Debbie King; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Garrison, his parents, his brother Larry Garrison, and his nephew Robert Garrison.
