Dale Fuehrer

Dale Fuehrer, age 72, of Huron, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Avantara - Huron.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 10 at the Kuhler Funeral Home.

Visitation with family present will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 10 at Kuhler Funeral Home.

Dale Fuehrer was born December 12, 1953, to Helmuth and Lucille (Roeber) Fuehrer, at Huron, South Dakota. He grew up in the Huron area and graduated from Huron High School in 1972.

All of his life, Dale worked in construction; first for his father, Helmuth, hauling gravel and then later Dale took over the construction business from Helmuth. He had a passion for his work — blading roads, hauling gravel and doing any kind of dirt work.

Later in life, Dale married Julie Matthews. To this union, Kelsey was born on December 9, 1994.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier days. He liked playing cards with friends. Dale loved his daughter, Kelsey. He thought the world of his grandchildren and enjoyed following them in their activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his daughter, Kelsey Fuehrer of Huron; his grandchildren, Jackson Dale Fuehrer, Stellen and Cecillia Standefer; his brother, Brian (Sheri) Fuehrer of Huron; his sister, Anne Fuehrer of Sioux Falls; and his niece and nephew, Stacey and Nathan Fuehrer.
