Dale A. Burg

Dale A. Burg, 65, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly at the St. Cloud Hospital on March 11, 2026. Born on July 5, 1960, to Linus and Kathleen (Meyer) Burg, he grew up in Paynesville and graduated from Paynesville High School in 1978. That same year he enlisted in the United States Army, serving on active duty until his honorable discharge in 1981, followed by 16 years in the Army Reserves. He later attended St. Cloud State University.

Dale was an avid sports fan who devoted many hours to fantasy football and baseball. He cherished time spent at his buddy’s cabin hunting and gathering with friends. Above all, he placed his family and friends first, caring for them with quiet dedication. Those who knew him will remember his kind, honest nature and his constant willingness to lend a hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Dale is survived by his siblings, Rick (Marian) of Lake Henry, Lori (Mark) Lieser of Paynesville, Sherry (Randy) Bertram of Spring Hill, and Tami (Jeff) Funk of Melrose, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
