Cyril E R Harris Sr.

Cyril E. R. Harris, Sr. was born on November 30, 1930, and passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at the age of 95.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Cyril served from 1948 to 1968. His military career took his family on a journey from Schenectady, New York, to Virginia, Japan, California, and Texas before they eventually returned home to Schenectady.

While stationed in Trinidad, he met the love of his life, Agnes June. Their 77-year marriage stood as a testament to their devotion and partnership.

After retiring from the Navy, Cyril worked several jobs before fulfilling his dream of singing with The Ink Spots. In later years, he devoted himself to art, creating hundreds of original pieces that reflected his creativity and passion.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Agnes; their seven children, Robert (Jacque), Barbara, Brian, Cyril Jr. (Araceli), Donna (Gary), Dwayne (Sue), and Liza (Tony); and the three grandchildren he lovingly helped raise, Shana, Aseba, and Brianne. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his infant son, John.

Cyril lived a life defined by service, faith, creativity, and deep devotion to his family.
