She was 73 years old. Born on September 5, 1952, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Robert Lee McCandless and Raeleane Muehl. Cindy grew up in Ferndale and later moved to Milford when she met the love of her life, John H. LaClair.John and Cindy had two boys who always kept them busy with their sports and extracurricular activities. Cindy demonstrated her devotion to her family and loved ones by always putting the needs of others before her own.Cindy loved antiques and her home resembled a museum with all the antiques she collected over the years. Despite all the antiques in her home, she could always tell when her boys had a party when the antiques were moved.Cindy spent her early years of motherhood raising her children and then obtained her medical assistant certification enabling her to work for over two decades at Huron Valley Pediatrics. During this time, she always helped families by providing subsidies to families in need.In her earlier days, Cindy loved to indulge in "shop till you drop" excursions with her beloved sister. Cindy's marathon shopping excursions turned into marathon phone conversations with her sister and their conversations could last up to 7 hours at a time.Cindy is survived by loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. To honor Cindy's privacy, no services will be held.
