Cynthia “Cindy” Lynn Smith Summerfield, 63, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, after a 10-month battle with ovarian cancer.
Cindy graduated from Menchville High School in 1981. She always wanted to be a mother and found deep joy in helping others. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune and cherished every moment spent with her granddaughter, Nicole.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy and Lee Ann Summerfield; her granddaughter, Nicole Summerfield; and her sisters, Rhonda Luck and her husband Ray, and Robin Rhodes and her husband James, along with numerous extended family members who will miss her dearly.
