Cynthia Holloway Washington
November 30, 1953— March 7, 2026
Lake Charles, LA
Cynthia Holloway Washington, lovingly known as “Earth Mother,” passed away at the age of 72.
Cindy cherished her roles as a mother, friend, prayer warrior, and steady rock for so many. She was a source of strength and comfort, always present when someone needed encouragement, wisdom, or simply a listening ear. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued. A strong Christian, her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived it with quiet devotion.
An active member of the Manna Food Ministry, Cindy treasured her time with her coffee group and Sunday school ladies at Trinity Baptist Church. She found great joy in God’s creation and loved traveling, especially to Bonaire and any place where she could enjoy the outdoors. One of a kind, she had a special talent for discovering the best bakeries wherever she went. Known as the peacekeeper of her family, she saw the good in everyone and worked to build meaningful relationships. She was also a phenomenal cook whose meals brought people together and created lasting memories.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Scott Washington; her three children, Seth Washington (Lauren), Scotty Washington, and Silas Washington (Amelia); and her beloved grandchildren, Benjamin, Mary Elizabeth, Lauryn, Mia, David, Holland, and Elias. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshal and Dorothy Holloway.
