New Philadelphia, OH

Cynthia “Cindi” Darlene Dennis passed away peacefully in her home in New Philadelphia, Ohio surrounded by her beloved family on March 9, 2026. Born on November 10, 1953 in Dover, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Mary Margaret (Davis) Watkins.

Cindi married her husband Floyd “Bud” Leroy Dennis on November 24, 1978, and the pair later welcomed two children that became her entire world. There was nothing in this world that Cindi enjoyed more than spending time with her beloved family. She dedicated her entire life to loving, caring, and providing for them. Mary Zifer’s pizza nights with her children and grandchildren were a sacred tradition in her household that will be fondly remembered. Cindi loved going on car rides through the back roads to the country side, where she found great joy in watching and taking pictures of deer and picturesque scenes. In her free time, Cindi delighted in putting together puzzles. Cindi was a 1972 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.

In addition to her husband Bud, Cindi is survived by her daughter, Laci (Scott) Colletti; son, Cody (Companion, Symphony) Dennis; grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, Bree, Jax and Carmy; sister, Pam (Companion, Matt Specht) Watkins; brother-in-law, George (Leigh) Dennis; sister-in-law, Gale “Sis” Canfield, as well as many nieces. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Darold Dennis and Pastor Max Canfield.

According to Cindi’s wishes, cremation is planned without a formal viewing or visitation. Those wishing to make a charitable donation in Cindi’s honor may do so to Ohio’s Hospice.
