Her mother (former Clementine Zeleznik) was born and raised in Amasa Michigan. Summer vacations were spent at the family homestead in Amasa, which resulted in Cynthia falling in love with the Upper Peninsula and making it her home. Cynthia's final years of life were spent in a memory care facility in Monona, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Clementine Hinz and is survived by her brother Jeffrey (Wendy), nephew Scott (Laura) and niece Alicia.Cynthia received a B.A. from Northern Michigan University and teacher certification through the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She had a variety of jobs, including employment as a legal assistant for over twenty-five years. She loved animals and her pets were an important part of her life. Cynthia volunteered at the Northwoods Animal Shelter and visited residents at the Iron River Care Center with her cats and animal shelter cats. She enjoyed outdoor activities, especially swimming and kayaking.In Lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to the Northwoods Animal Shelter in Iron River, Michigan, 930 Selden Rd, Iron River, Michigan, 49935Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2026 from 9 am to 10:45 am at the Nash Funeral Home, 104 N Third St, Crystal Falls, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday March 27, at 11 am at Guardian Angels Church, 412 Crystal Ave, Crystal Falls, MichiganBurial will be in the Spring at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls, MI.Condolences may be expressed to the family of Cynthia A.
