Born on November 9, 1942, in Roanoke, Alabama, Curtis lived a life marked by commitment and service, both in his professional pursuits and personal relationships.

A high school graduate, Curtis continually sought knowledge throughout his life, earning numerous certificates through continued education. His passion for learning and technical expertise made him a valued specialist in avionics, a field requiring precision and dedication.

Curtis’s journey led him across decades of professional achievement and personal growth. He was a beloved husband to Addie Tatum and a devoted father to their son, Rundy Tatum. The bonds he forged with his family were a cornerstone of his life, reflecting the values of loyalty and love he upheld so strongly.

Those wishing to honor Curtis's memory are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, March 21, 2026,  1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, located at 2177 Usher Street Northwest, Covington, Georgia, 30014. Senior Pastor Ronnie Thomas. Following the service, a burial will take place at Lawnwood Memorial Park at 1111 Access Road, Covington, GA 30014. Mr. Tatum will lie in-state at the church at 12:00 Noon until the hour of service. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.

Curtis Tatum, Jr.'s legacy is one of expertise, family devotion, and a lifelong pursuit of knowledge. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and stood alongside him through the many chapters of his life. May his memory be honored and his spirit forever rest in peace.
