Curtis James Wilson

Curtis James Wilson, age 82 formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away on March 16, 2026 at home in Milton, Florida. Curtis was born on May 22, 1943 to Bosie and Dorothy (Molden) Wilson in Russell County, Kentucky, the youngest of their seven children. He was previously married to Martha Melvin and they had two children together.

Curtis worked at Hyster in Crawfordsville until they closed and continued his career at Acuity Brands Lighting, retiring in July of 2011. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially a quiet afternoon fishing. Curtis was also often found tending to his garden at home.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Ruby (Glenn Riddle) Wilson of Roachdale and Barbara (Rod) Hunley of Milton; 2 grandchildren, Jasmine (Caden Belanger) Hunley and Thomas Hunley, both of Milton; and a great grandson, Zayne Belanger, on the way. Curtis will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is predeceased by his parents and 6 siblings, Eva Bradshaw, Dolly Estep, Vertis Wilson, Vida Wilson, Dorothy Eunice Brock and Mary LaBelle.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Russellville Cemetery. Share memories and condolences at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
