Curtis Glenn Walker, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, March 13, 2026, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Franklin, former longtime resident of Trafalgar and wintered in South Padre Island, Texas.Curtis was born in Morgantown on August 18, 1938, to the late Carl M. and Opal M. (Haggard) Walker. He was a 1956 graduate of Morgantown High School, where he enjoyed playing on the basketball team.Curtis was a retired Realtor and the owner of Curtis Walker Realty. Prior to that, he owned and operated Alfalfa Acres, his family farm in Trafalgar, where he raised cattle, hogs, and crops for more than 30 years. Curtis also owned and operated the Nashville IGA during the 1970s.He was an avid fan of IU and Purdue basketball. Curtis enjoyed playing golf, cards and being in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Curtis also loved visiting with friends, joking with them, and picnicking with family at the lake.Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Page (Davis) Walker, whom he married in 1988 in Samaria. He is also survived by his children, David Walker of Indianapolis, Brad Walker of Martinsville, and Cheryl (Brian) Wilkerson of Franklin; sister, Judith Miller of Whiteland; grandchildren, Jessica Dunn, Derek Walker, Kyle Walker, Libby (Johnathon) Love, Brittany Walker, Christopher Walker, Geoff (Miranda) Wilkerson, and Kaelea (Kurt) Cheek; and ten great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue (Poore) Walker, whom he married on June 2, 1956, in Martinsville and who passed away on February 26, 1986; his daughter, Karen Dunn; grandson, Josh Dunn; and brothers, Marion M.E. Walker and Donald Walker.A Celebration of Life service will be held this Spring at the family farm. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith Funeral Home in Morgantown.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Curtis to the Humane Society of Johnson County, 3827 Graham Road, Franklin, IN 46131.Online condolences may be shared with Curtis's family at meredithfuneral.com.
