Curtis Alan Jones

Curtis Alan Jones

February 2, 1953 March 10, 2026

Farmington, AR

Alan Jones, 73, of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville on March 10, 2026. Born February 2, 1953, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, he grew up on a dairy farm in Washington County. A lifelong cowboy, Alan had a deep love for rodeo and a passion for training and trading horses. A skilled calf roper and proud member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, he traveled extensively in pursuit of the next engraved buckle and saddle, living each day to the fullest.

Throughout his life, Alan wore many hats with quiet competence and dedication. He worked as a farrier, caring for the horses he cherished, served as a grader operator with the Washington County Road Department, and gave back to his community as an Emergency Medical Technician. Rooted in the land, he remained a farmer at heart. Later in life he discovered a new joy on the golf course, becoming a regular at the Tuesday Stone Bridge Meadows senior scramble and taking memorable golf trips to the Florida Panhandle and the mountains of Colorado.

Alan was known for his great sense of humor and his remarkable gift for friendship. A natural storyteller and attentive listener, he had a rare ability to make everyone around him feel truly special. Yet of all the roles he filled, none brought him greater pride or joy than being “Pops” to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Clinton Jones; his father, Curtis H. Jones; and his mother, Evelyne Jones. Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda; son Curt Jones; son Jason Pergeson (Chrissy); daughter Johna Frisard (L.J.); daughter-in-law Sara Terrell (Austin); and grandchildren Lilly Jones, Cashton Jones, Bella Pergeson, Ashlynn Frisard, Leon Frisard, Cami Haley, and Lanee Frisard. He is also survived by his sister, Ethelyn Farley; brothers Larry Jones (Peggy) and Roger Jones (Sally); and many cherished nieces and nephews.
