C.T. Cozart Jr.

C.T. Cozart, Jr., age 87, passed away on March 4, 2026. A graduate of Bearden High School class of 1957 and the University of Tennessee, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the UT College of Business. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Concord.

C.T. enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career as an executive with Chevron Corporation, serving in numerous assignments across the United States and traveling extensively both domestically and internationally. After retiring, he served as Executive Director of the Chevron Petroleum Marketers Association. He remained deeply engaged in higher education and civic leadership, serving many years on the Carson Newman University Board of Trustees, where he chaired the board for several terms. He also served on the Board of the National Sim Center at UT Chattanooga, the Board of Directors for Seven States Southaven, LLC, and the Nominating Committee for the Tennessee Baptist Convention.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Odelia Cozart. C.T. is survived by his wife of 64 years, Molly Brown Cozart; daughter Cathy Cozart Cushing (Scott); son Scott Bennett Cozart (Elaine); granddaughter Mackenzie Cozart Williams (James); grandson Camden Cozart; brother Woody Cozart (Judy); nephew Casey Cozart (Laura and their daughter Kennedy); and niece Leigh Cozart. His body was donated to Restore Life USA for research, surgeon training, and education.
