Born in Puerto Rico, Cristóbal carried his heritage proudly throughout his life, filling every room with the warmth, music, and spirit of the island he loved so deeply.A gifted, self taught musician, Cristóbal found joy in the strings of his guitar, el cuatro, and various other Puerto Rican instruments. Music was his language, and through it he shared stories, memories, and love with all who knew him.Cristóbal was also a talented self taught mechanic-resourceful, curious, and never afraid to take something apart just to learn how it worked. He spent many years working as a machinist in a factory, dedicating himself to his craft making screws with precision and pride. He lived in New Jersey for many years before moving to Florida.Above all, Cristóbal was a devoted family man. He cherished his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and his entire extended family. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years her name is Maria, their two daughters Beatriz, Daisy and son Chris. His five grandchildren Justin, Krysta, Emely, Michael and Christina. His greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those he loved, offering wisdom, laughter, and an unwavering sense of support.Cristóbal leaves behind a legacy of resilience, creativity, and deep love for music, culture, and family. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.Cristóbal Colón, de 84 años, de Boca Ratón, Florida, falleció en paz el 7 de marzo de 2026, rodeado de su querida familia. Nacido en Puerto Rico, Cristóbal llevó su herencia con orgullo a lo largo de su vida, llenando cada habitación con la calidez, la música y el espíritu de la isla que tanto amaba.Músico talentoso y autodidacta, Cristóbal encontró alegría en las cuerdas de su guitarra, el cuatro y otros instrumentos puertorriqueños. La música era su lenguaje, y a través de ella compartió historias, recuerdos y amor con todos los que lo conocieron.Cristóbal también fue un talentoso mecánico autodidacta: ingenioso, curioso y nunca tuvo miedo de desarmar algo solo para aprender cómo funcionaba. Pasó muchos años trabajando como maquinista en una fábrica, dedicándose a su oficio: fabricar tornillos con precisión y orgullo. Vivió en Nueva Jersey durante muchos años antes de mudarse a Florida.Sobre todo, Cristóbal fue un devoto hombre de familia. Apreciaba a su esposa, sus hijos, sus nietos y a toda su familia. Le sobreviven su esposa de más de 60 años, María; sus dos hijas, Beatriz, Daisy y su hijo Chris; y sus cinco nietos, Justin, Krysta, Emely, Michael y Christina. Su mayor felicidad residía en estar rodeado de sus seres queridos, quienes le ofrecían sabiduría, risas y un apoyo inquebrantable.Cristóbal deja un legado de resiliencia, creatividad y un profundo amor por la música, la cultura y la familia.
