He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Russell and Constance Lorraine Clayton (Noon); his brothers, Tom and Jon; and his nephews, Mark and Eric.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Nicholas (Laura) and Natalie Mowbray (Eric); and his granddaughter Hailey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rita Catholic Church (6254 Valley Knoll Dr, Rockford, IL 61109). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
