November 21, 1957— March 9, 2026
Green Bay, WI
Craig E. Patterson, 68, of Green Bay, WI, passed away on March 9, 2026, after a seven-year journey with ALS.
Born on November 21, 1957, to Leland and Emerine “Renee” (Melotte) Patterson, Craig grew up on Green Bay’s far West side. He spent his childhood exploring the woods and fields with his twin brother Kevin and earned local fame as a boy by collecting and reselling golf balls at Brown County Golf Course. He graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School in 1975.
On May 17, 2002, Craig married Teri (Clough) Bero. Together they shared a love of tennis, volleyball, ATVing in the north woods, time with family, and memorable trips to Jamaica and Arizona. A dedicated worker in the distributing industry, Craig was known for his strong work ethic and his remarkable ability to form lasting friendships wherever he went, including those from his early days at Copps Warehouse Food Market.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Craig rarely missed an opening day of gun season for more than 50 years. His cabin in Pembine was his true happy place, where he could often be found working in the garage, listening to Brewers games, enjoying a Michelob Ultra, or spending time with his brother Lee and nephews Todd and Tony. He participated enthusiastically in rec league sports throughout his adult life, including bowling, softball, volleyball, and his beloved Wednesday night golf league at Twin Oaks with his friend Arnie. Competitive to his core, Craig approached everything with full commitment, yet it was his generosity, willingness to help others, and gift for nurturing friendships that left the deepest impression.
Craig is survived by his wife Teri, daughter Rachel (Cory) Ott, stepchildren Keri (Matt) Fezatte, Trisha (Adam) Schense, Zak (Stephanie) Bero, and Kayla (Emily) Bero, grandchildren Kesson and Liara Fezatte, Gabrielle, Hazel, and Isabelle Schense, Zoey, Elowyn, and Malak Bero, Revan Bero, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Lee, Gary, and twin Kevin.
