Craig A. Taylor

1958 — 2026

Winston-Salem, NC

Craig A. Taylor, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, surrounded by family at his bedside. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, to Billy M. and Betty Sue Taylor, he was raised in Huntsville, Alabama, before serving in the Navy. He later settled in Tampa, Florida, where he built a career in the electronics industry. After moving to North Carolina, Craig earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA, reinventing himself as a financial and tax specialist. He founded his own company and cultivated a loyal clientele who quickly became cherished friends.

Craig understood that true success was not measured in financial portfolios but in the depth of one’s relationships—with family, friends, and his Creator. He lived a rich life in every sense that mattered. Physically active, he enjoyed skiing, jogging, biking, and spending quiet time at North Carolina’s scenic fishing holes. He had a special gift for bringing laughter to those around him, especially his nephews, who will always remember his spirited impersonations of Buzz Lightyear.

He is survived by his sisters, Taylor S. Lake and Tracey T. Thomas (Greg); his niece, Mallory; and his nephews, Spencer and Owen Thomas. Craig also leaves behind his beloved Keeshonds, Marko and Axel, who waited faithfully for his return. Among his many dear friends were Vivian Bailey, Mike O’Brien, Meylssa Moran, and John Hickman.

Uncle Craig: To Infinity and Beyond.
