Craig A. Sterner

Craig A. Sterner, 61, of Tamaqua, passed away on March 11 at Edenbrook of Greenwood Hills in Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville on October 28, 1964, Craig was the son of Barbara (Orwig) Sterner of Port Clinton and the late John Sterner. He graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School in 1982 and was a longtime member of St. John’s Church in Port Clinton.

For the past eleven years, Craig shared his life with his wife, Alanna G. (Hinger) Sterner. He was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing, as well as in weekend getaways and quiet moments spent with family. He worked as a machine operator at Engineered Materials Solutions in Hamburg.

Craig is survived by his wife Alanna, his mother Barbara, his sons Aaron Sterner of Port Clinton and Brett Sterner and his wife Cheyanne of Pine Grove, his stepdaughter Hayley Leslie of Tamaqua, his grandchildren Jaxon and Bryndle, his sisters Sherri James and her husband Pat of Schuylkill Haven, Sue Correll and her husband Harold of Hamburg, and Kathy Barrow and her husband Andy of Orwigsburg, along with several nieces and nephews.
