Corinna Putnam, of Gastonia, North Carolina, was born on August 21, 1941, in Stecoah, North Carolina, and passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by the loving care of her family in Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Flora Crisp, and eight sisters and one brother. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jennings Putnam; her daughter, Lynn Gray; her son, Jeffrey (Wayne) Putnam; her grandson, Christian Putnam; her granddaughter, Emily Gray; her great-grandson, Daegan Putnam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Corinna found joy in hiking, reading, gardening, singing, and spending time with family and friends. She possessed a lively, sarcastic sense of humor that endeared her to others and set her apart. Always in motion and full of energy, she loved walking on the beach and in the foothills of North Carolina, often leaving those around her both charmed and exhausted by her boundless vitality.
In August of 2025, Corinna suffered a stroke and moved with her husband to Minnesota to be cared for by her daughter, Lynn. She remained deeply loved and well cared for until the end.
