COREY PHILIP HEERMANN May 12, 1969 ˜ February 25, 2026 Corey Philip Heermann, 56, of Washougal, Washington, passed away on February 25, 2026. He was born and raised in Southwest Washington, growing up with a deep appreciation for the region’s forests, rivers, and open skies...places that would become the backdrop for many of his happiest moments. A graduate of Ridgefield High School and later the University of Puget Sound, Corey often introduced himself as a “recovering Econ major,” a line that perfectly captured his sharp wit. He built a career he was proud of, contributing his technical expertise, program management skills, and web architecture talent to both Microsoft and Seattle Children’s Hospital, among others. His colleagues knew him as someone whose mind never stopped turning always analyzing, always improving, always curious. For all his professional accomplishments, Corey was just as content with a fishing rod in hand, standing quietly beside the water. The outdoors was his refuge, a place where he could think, breathe, and simply be. He found joy in the simplicity of nature and the peace it offered. A recent empty nester, nothing meant more to him than watching his children step confidently into adulthood and pursue their own paths in higher education. They were, without question, his greatest source of pride. Corey is survived by his wife, Richelle, his children, Macie and Jackson, his parents, Dan and Carole Heermann, of Woodland, WA, his sister Danielle, and niece Skylar. Those who knew Corey will remember his quick wit, his generosity and his intelligence. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, and he will be profoundly missed. A celebration of Corey’s life will be held on March 8, at 11 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home in Camas, WA, where family and friends are invited to gather to honor his memory and the lasting impact he made on their lives.
