Coreen Fae Zeman

Coreen Zeman, born May 14, 1940, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital with her family by her side.

The oldest of five daughters, Coreen grew up in the country near Black River Falls, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in teaching and devoted nearly forty years to education, teaching fourth grade at Wilson Elementary in Anoka, Minnesota.

She married Marvin Zeman in 1961 and made their home in Anoka. Together they enjoyed thirty years of lake life at their cabin in Deerwood, Minnesota. Coreen found great pleasure in tending her yard and flowers, sewing, and occasional trips to the casino.

Coreen was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin and Elnora Avery, her husband Marvin, her son Carl, and her sister Rose. She is survived by her daughter Ann Zeman (Ron Paulson); grandchildren Jon (Jess) Winn, Cara (Matt) Winn, and Connor Zeman; great-grandchildren Sophia, Jack, and a little girl due in May; and her sisters Florence of Fall Creek, Wisconsin, Beatrice of Viroqua, Wisconsin, and Jane of Gillette, Wyoming.
