Constance "Connie" Cantrell-Howard

Constance “Connie” Cantrell-Howard, age 72, of Cave Spring, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Born on April 2, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late David Rapes and the late Virginia Geraldine Gazaway Rapes.

Connie spent 22 years as a dedicated manager with AT&T and remained a lifelong member of the Baptist faith. She found simple pleasures in listening to Elvis music, tending her garden, visiting the mountains, and taking shopping trips. She also loved crafting and preparing meals for those she cared about.

She is survived by her husband, James Ronald Howard; sons James Troy Cantrell and Casey Cantrell; daughter Melissa Small; brothers Hubert Rapes and Paul Rapes; seven grandchildren, Macy Dameron, Madison Wood, Anna Cantrell, James Cantrell II, Casey Grace Cantrell, Abigail Cantrell, and Casey Cantrell Jr.; and several great-grandchildren.
