Connie Sue McBride

Connie Sue McBride, 73, of East Lynn, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Born on April 19, 1952, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Connie was the daughter of the late Jeannie Little McLain. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others and educating students, first working as a licensed practical nurse at St. Mary's, then serving as a Paralegal Professor at Marshall University, and finally teaching in the Wayne County Schools. She was a longtime member of East Lynn Baptist Church and remained active in the Wayne County Farm Bureau and the Wayne County Cattleman's Association.

Connie was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kevin Adkins. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas McBride; her daughter, Jennifer McBride Adkins of East Lynn; three grandchildren, Natalie Adkins (Tyler), Sarah Brooks, and Aaron Adkins (Annabelle), all of East Lynn; two great-grandchildren, Owen Adkins and Alice Adkins; two sisters, Vicky Tanner and Beth Skarry, both of Parkersburg; a brother, Jay McLain of Parkersburg; two aunts, Karen Terry and Linda Little; an uncle, Norman Little; and many other family members, friends, and neighbors who will cherish her memory.
