Connie Love Kinley

Connie Love Kinley, 68, of Midland, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Matthews, North Carolina, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her final words of comfort to her husband and daughters were, “God’s got me.” She left this world on the second anniversary of her mother Lucy’s death and was welcomed into heaven by her mother, father, brothers, sister, and many other loved ones who had gone before her.

Born on November 22, 1957, in Concord, North Carolina, to the late Lucy Carelock Love Teeter and the late Conley Love, Connie was preceded in death by her stepfather Lane Teeter, brothers George Vernon Love, John Carl Love, and James Clyde Love, sister Debra “Debbie” Lynn Love, niece Michelle Huffstetler, great-nephew James Arthur, great-niece Kristina Webb Castor, and great-grandson Landon Tucker.

Known to her grandchildren as “Mawmaw,” Connie will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted wife, and a kind and giving soul to everyone she met. She had a gift for making strangers feel like family the moment they walked through her door. Her warm smile, encouraging words, and delicious home-cooked meals brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. Though small in stature, her hugs carried immense love and reassurance, and her deep devotion to family will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband Fred “Buster” Kinley of Midland, her beloved furbaby Gizmo “Gizzy,” daughters Donna “Lucy” Niederhelman (Joe Wilson) of Umatilla, Florida, Paula (Matthew) Coates of Concord, Suzanne (David) Hill of Locust, Erica Kinley (Kim Rider) of Morrisville, Sharon Kinley (Rick Traywick) of Norwood, Karen (Ivan) Osorio of Stanfield, Shannon (Matthew) Jones of Oakboro, and Heather Kinley (Cory Morton) of Midland; and grandchildren Major Day, Benjamin “Benji” Affolter, Beringer Coates, Trinity Coates, Christian Kinley (Morgan Tucker), Taylor Hill, Annistyn “Annie” Hill, Madelyn “Maddie” Traywick, Kailey Osorio, Manuel Osorio, Jonathan Zelaya Osorio, Victor Carbajal Osorio, Jason Carbajal Osorio, Angelina “Angie” Osorio, and Declan Laurence Kinley. She is also survived by sisters Linda Taylor and Martha Love, brothers Benny Teeter and Robert (Kathy) Teeter, and countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom she loved as her own.
