Connie L. Carie, 80, of Bicknell, Indiana, passed away on March 14, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 17, 1945, in Lawrence County, Illinois, she was the daughter of James H. and Rosie D. Laslie Farrar. A graduate of Lawrenceville High School, Connie married Ambrose Carie on August 5, 1967. The couple shared nearly 59 years of marriage and built a life together filled with devotion and care. She worked at Crestview Nursing Home before becoming a dedicated homemaker and was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose quiet strength and loving presence touched everyone in her family. She is survived by her husband, Ambrose Carie; their children, Susan Clark of Princeton, Indiana, Amy L. (Eric) Mitchell of Pensacola, Florida, and Lisa (Robert) Stokes of Bicknell; grandchildren Taylor Clark, Brandon Clark, Kelsey Clark, Matthew Stokes, and Amber Stokes; and great-grandchildren Amelia Donohoo, Grayson Feightner, Hudson Feightner, Kenny Waggoner, Sullivan Brown, and the soon-to-arrive Sylvia Waggoner. She is also survived by her siblings, Jim Farrar of Bicknell, Indiana, Tom (Annette) Farrar of St. Francisville, Illinois, Mike (Cheryl) Farrar of Olney, Illinois, Alice (Ray) Hooten of Bicknell, Indiana, and Tina (Clay) Atkins of Sumner, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Jerry Farrar, Linda Farrar, and Laura Enochs.
