Connie Dorotea Baca

Connie Dorotea Baca of Las Vegas, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on November 9, 1949, in Las Vegas to Alejandro and Lucy Baca, she grew up in the community alongside her brother and sisters. Connie lived a life centered on family, offering unwavering love and kindness to all who knew her.

She is remembered for her warm spirit, compassion, laughter, and humor. Her home was a place of welcome and joy, where she devoted herself completely to those she loved. Through her generosity and genuine care, Connie touched countless lives and created lasting bonds with everyone around her.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Lucy Baca, her brother Roberto Baca, her sister Anna Ramos, her stepson Lawrence Candelaria Jr., and her grandson Vidal Vigil. She is survived by her loving partner, Lawrence Candelaria; her daughters, Lucy Gonzales (Henry Gonzales), Geraldine Amadid (Brahim Amadid), Karen Herrera (Cameron Baucom), and Edwina Garcia (Billy Garcia); her stepsons, Pedro Candelaria and Lawrence Candelaria Jr.; her sisters, Christina Vargas and Frances Roth; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her family will cherish the strength she showed, the generous heart she offered, and the way she always placed her loved ones first.
