Connie A. Perez

July 27, 1944 March 14, 2026

Houston, TX

Connie A. Perez, beloved homemaker and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Houston, Texas at the age of 81. She was born on July 27, 1944, in Cameron, Texas, to the late Jose and Maria Ambriz. Later in life in 1988 Connie went onto marry Ismael Robles in Lubbock, cherishing forty-eight years of a loving marriage.

Throughout her life, Connie’s passions were many and vibrant. She found joy in the sun-kissed sands of Galveston’s beaches, where the rhythm of the waves mirrored the music, she so loved to dance too. Whether she was moving gracefully to her favorite tunes or simply scrolling through TikTok, Connie embraced life with an open heart and a contagious spirit. Her love for shopping brought her simple pleasures, but it was the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren that truly filled her days with happiness. A woman of nature’s tender beauty, Connie lovingly cared for her lemon tree and rose garden, nurturing life with the same warmth she gave her family. She had a unique passion for collecting rooster figurines—a charming hobby that reflected the lively and colorful essence she carried within.

Connie’s gentle spirit, her love for music and dance, and her unwavering devotion to family have left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. In celebrating her life, we remember a woman whose essence was as vibrant and loving as the memories she so lovingly created with her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, laughter, and joy will forever light the path for those she cherished most.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Ambriz; her brothers Jesse Ambriz, Alfredo Ambriz, Federico Ambriz, Julio Ambriz; and her cherished granddaughter Erica Rodriguez.

Connie leaves behind a devoted family who adored her deeply. Her loving husband, Ismael Robles of Houston; her daughters Debbie and Jose Santellano of Abernathy, Cathy and Ricky Athey of Lubbock, and Diana and Michael Hernandez of Lubbock; brothers Juan Ambriz of Lubbock and Jose Ambriz of Rosebud, Texas; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
