Cona Laminack, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 14, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on May 23, 1961, in Columbus, she lived a life marked by generosity, honesty, and a deep commitment to family and friends.
Cona found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially discovering a good sale. She loved hosting family cookouts filled with laughter and the aroma of good food, and she took great pleasure in cooking and trying new recipes. Above all, she adored her husband and children, extending her nurturing heart to many who came to call her “mom.”
Known for her straightforward honesty and conviction, Cona always spoke her mind, sometimes with a touch of stubbornness. Yet this same spirit was paired with genuine compassion; she was quick to offer a smile, check in on others, and do whatever she could to brighten someone’s day.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Laminack; her children, Mark Jr. (Amanda), Benita (Kevin), and Alisha (Scott); her grandchildren, Cody (Courtney), Cameron, Nate, Lacie, and Quinton; and her great-grandchildren, Raylynn, Cooper, and Lydia. She also leaves behind her brothers Teddy, Randy, and Harold, along with many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Cona was preceded in death by her mother, Alice (List) Mansperger, and her brother Ricki.
