Colleen Jean Kessler

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Colleen Jean Kessler (Iowa City, Iowa), who passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Colleen Jean Kessler to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Lynch and Mary "Luella" Lynch (Meade); her husband Lloyd Kessler; her siblings, Mary Lynch and Larry Lynch; her brother-in-law Jim Whetstine; and her siblings' children, Lori Whetstine, Sonja Kistler and Jesse Lynch.

She is survived by: her son Aaron (Heather) of Cary, IL; her grandchildren, Olivia, Addison and Austin; and her siblings, Bev Whetstine, Pat Lynch, Dan Lynch (Robin), Mike Lynch and Kristy Kellbach (John). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (4330 St Patricks Dr, Iowa City, IA 52240). A Mass will be held on Thursday, March 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 26th 2026 at 12:20 PM at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery (5423 Maier Ave SW, Riverside, IA 52327).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
