Cody Lane Collins, age 41, of Ball, Louisiana, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born in Pineville, Louisiana, to William “Bill” Darvis Collins and Kim Marie Collins, Cody lived life on his own terms with a free spirit that touched everyone around him. Known affectionately as “Uncle Fat Duck” to those who loved him most, he brought laughter and energy to every gathering.
Cody cherished the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing and hunting. He loved riding fast motorcycles, listening to old country music, and working with his hands. Whether doing construction or cutting trees, he took pride in hard work and staying busy. Above all, he was a devoted father who found his greatest joy in his children and being surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Destiny Collins; his mother, Kim Hall Collins; and his brothers, Jefferey Hall and Brian Collins.
Cody is survived by his children, Blane Collins, Ethan Gillette, Remington Carter, Emma Collins, Madison Carter, and Caitlyn Jowers; his father, Bill Collins; his brothers, Patrick Panzica (Melony) and Casey Collins (Lacy); and his sisters, Rebecca Walker and Melissa Perry (Jimmy). His loud laugh, quick humor, and deep love for those closest to him will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Though his time was far too short, the memories he created—on the water, on the open road, and around family—will continue to bring comfort in the years ahead.
