Glenn and Wallene Combs and three brothers near Amistad, New MexicoAfter the sale of the family ranch in Amistad the family moved to Elko, Nevada. Coby had many great memories of Nevada. Chasing wild horses, training racehorses and going to High School Rodeos were just a few of the stories that he liked to tell. Coby graduated from Elko High School.Working in the gold mines of Nevada is where Coby became proficient at running heavy equipment. Coby would later move to Pasco, Washington where he continued to work as a heavy equipment operator.Upon moving to Pasco, Coby became involved with the Les Patterson family. He spent many a day bulldogging and helping Les transport cattle to rodeos in the Northwest. Coby loved the rodeo life and was an accomplished bulldogger and team roper.With the encouragement of Bud Urbach, Coby became involved in the hay business where he boom loaded, built and operated his own squeeze and hauled hay.Coby and Lori were married in 1979 and eventually made their way to Eltopia, Washington, were they lived for many years. Coby always cherished the great neighbors and friends that were a very important part of his life in Eltopia.In 2021, Coby and Lori moved to Cisco, Texas where they Started a hay selling business.Coby passed away peacefully at his home on February 3. 2026 after an extended illness.Coby is survived by his wife Lori; daughters Shelly (Jake) Treat, Liz (Zach) Herrin: grandson Cade and Corbin Treat; brother Wayne Jueschke, sister-in-law Darlene Combs and many nieces and nephewsHe was preceded in death by brothers Richard Jueschke and Wade Combs, sister-in-law Betsy Jueschke and nephews Glenn Combs and Warren Jueschke.A celebration of Coby's life will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026. at 2:00 PM in Eltopia, Washington.To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Coby Ray Combs, please visit our floral store.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
