Rose City, MI
Clifford George Parent, born on July 7, 1934, in Royal Oak, Michigan to Clifford and Helen (Maas) Parent, passed away peacefully at his home on March 9, 2026, at the age of 91.
Cliff built a multifaceted career that reflected his energy and varied interests. He worked for many years in commercial printing before retiring, then became a successful real estate agent and conducted estate sales, where his keen eye for treasures served him well. He operated a booth at the West Branch antique mall and owned two antique shops in Rose City, sharing his deep appreciation for history and nostalgia with many who visited.
Beyond his work, Cliff found great joy in westerns and cowboy culture. For many years he worked with local volunteers to bring renowned cowboys to the area each Fourth of July, creating lasting memories for families and friends. He also remained active in his community through local food drives in his later years. A proud Army veteran, he served in Germany and carried that experience with him as a point of pride throughout his life.
Cliff is survived by his niece, Kathy (Lane) Myers (Kirk Bannerman); nephew, Jeremy Lane; grandniece, Allyson (Myers) LeGris (Vincent); grandnephew, John Myers; and dear friend, Lloyd Meir. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Helen Parent, and his sister, Darlene (Parent) Lane. His dedication, kindness, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
