A graveside service for Claude Smithe Seabaugh, 85, will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, LA-518, Minden, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Joshua Sewell.
Claude was born on January 9, 1941, to Ralph E. Seabaugh and Martha Smithe Seabaugh in Shreveport, Louisiana, and passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Minden, Louisiana.
Claude graduated from Bossier High School in 1959 and later attended Louisiana Tech University. He went on to build a long and dedicated career as a salesman with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. Claude was married to the love of his life, Margaret Murphy Seabaugh, for over 60 years, and together they created a life filled with commitment, family, and countless shared memories.
He loved to hunt and bass fish, and he was known for being quiet, strong, and hardworking. Claude was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the LSU Tigers, cheering them on through every season. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his devotion to the people he loved, and the simple joys that brought him happiness throughout his life.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Martha Seabaugh; brother, Pat Seabaugh, and niece, Stephanie Seabaugh. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Margaret Murphy Seabaugh; son, Eddie Seabaugh and wife Michelle; daughter, Ellen Allen, and husband, Dean; grandchildren, Gracie Wall and husband, Ragan, Grant Allen, George Allen, and fiancé, Ella, and Mallory Thurgood, and fiancé, Phillip; brother, Kent Seabaugh; special cousin, Patricia Young and several nieces nephews and cousins.
Honoring Claude as pallbearers will be Barney Haley, Brian Haley, Aaron Ivy, Troy LeJeune, Al Nolen, Ralph Yelverton, Patrick Young, and Tucker Young.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Kennedy Lim for the many years of care for their dad.
